Helstrom was officially announced with a series order at Hulu in May 2019, planned as the first series in Marvel Television’s Adventure into Fear franchise. Paul Zbyszewski was set as showrunner and executive producer alongside Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb, based on the Marvel Comics characters Daimon and Satana Hellstrom.

Zbyszewski said the series would be adding “scares” to the Marvel formula of “heart, humor, and action”, and that he would use the Helstrom's story to “dissect some of our deepest fears”, with Loeb saying the series is moving into a new, “chilling” corner of the Marvel Universe. According to Wikipedia

Production on the series began on October 7, 2019, in Vancouver and filming wrapped on March 14, 2020.

Here’s everything we know about the series

Cast, Synopsis, and Release

Marvel’s Helstorm will focus on Daimon and Ana Helstrom, the son, and daughter of “a mysterious and powerful serial killer” who “track down the terrorizing worst of humanity.” In the comics, Daimon and Ana are the children of Satan and the mortal woman Victoria Wingate. However, their father was later retconned into being the demon Marduk Kurios. Daimon first appeared in Ghost Rider #1 in September 1973. Ana — also know as Satana — made her debut in October 1973’s Vampire Tales #2. Due to their heritage, the two have the power to use dark magic.

Marvel’s Helstrom will premiere on Hulu this coming October as part of the streamer’s Huluween event and run for 10 episodes.

Marvel’s Helstrom stars Tom Austen Daimon Helstrom, Sydney Lemmon as Ana Helstrom, Elizabeth Marvel as Victoria Helstrom, Ariana Guerra as Gabriella Rossetti, Robert Wisdom as Caretaker, June Carryl as Louise Hastings and Alain Uy as Chris Yen.

Hulu content chief Craig Erwich teased the show’s appeal during the TCA earlier this year, saying:

“We’re in production on [Helstrom],” Erwich said at the time. “I’ve seen the first four episodes of that and I’m really excited about it. It’s definitely a different corner of the Marvel Universe in terms of its horror. It’s a really unique take on a horror show that has a unique family situation at the center of it.”
